JB Casting Networks isn’t just a certified non-profit running Casting Workshops and Agent Showcases for the working actor for the best investment, we are run by actors and filmmakers for actors and filmmakers.
JBCN is dedicated to providing you- the professional entertainer- all the tools you need to build your creative skill set while becoming the shrewd CEO of your own career.
And to that end, we are pleased to announce the formation of OPEN ACTORS dedicated to providing you, the actor/director/filmmaker/entertainment professional or newcomer, all the tools you need to operate your business effectively.
Our motivation is to help the actor/filmmaker and the casting professional, with our focus being on providing opportunity integrated with education and new media/technology.
A series of workshops with top casting professionals, tele-conference interviews with TV/film industry experts, plus technology seminars with hardware and software experts will be provided FREE to equip you with all of the “tools of the trade” to create your own projects for our increasingly high tech filmmaking world.
We are excited to offer this service to the entertainment professionals within the JBCN network, and we also look forward to you bringing your fellow industry professionals to Open Actors. This non-profit will be giving back to the community of Los Angeles entertainment professionals, focusing on the Actor.
The more the Actor knows about every aspect of the film-making process, the more prepared the Actor is to do the quality work that will get them hired.
With the trickledown effect of the current environment (film actors performing as television guest stars, and guest star actors performing in co-star roles), we feel that it’s time to give back to that most valuable, and often neglected, piece of the film/television/stage/online entertainment industry: the Actor.
