Everyone has a birthday. In my opinion, birthdays should be considered the most special day for a person in any given year. It is the day when you celebrate your birth, when you were welcomed into this wonderful life. Without a birthday, you wouldn’t even be here! Birthdays are so special because it is a day where you can celebrate YOU and all that you have accomplished in your life, thus far.  They give you hope for the future and what you will do in the years to come. I have compiled a list of two celebrities who were born in each month.

Actors Birthday in January

Two celebrities who were born in January are Mel Gibson and Ellen DeGeneres. Mel Gibson was born on January 3^rd, 1956. He is a well-known and celebrated American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter. He has also won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Picture and an Academy Award for Best Director for Braveheart in 1995.

Ellen DeGeneres was born on January 26^th, 1958. She is a popular American stand-up comedienne, television host, and actress. She has her own talk show, called The Ellen DeGeneres Show. One of her most notable roles was “Dory” in Finding Nemo, in which she was nominated for and won many awards. She has also won many Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show for The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Actors Birthday in February

Two celebrities who were born in February are Taylor Lautner and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Taylor Lautner was born on February 11^th, 1992. He is an American actor, voice actor, model, and martial artist. Lautner got his big break playing the role of the werewolf “Jacob” in The Twilight Saga film series. He has been nominated for several awards for his work in the series, including honors at the MTV Movie Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and Scream Awards.

Jennifer Love Hewitt was born on February 21^st, 1979. She is an American actress, producer, television director, and former singer-songwriter. She began her acting career as a child and starred in the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. Hewitt has been in many films, television series, and has dabbled in music. She is most known for her role as “Melinda” in the television series Ghost Whisperer, in which she also served as executive producer.

Actors Birthday in March

Two celebrities who were born in March are Rob Lowe and Sarah Jessica Parker. Rob Lowe was born on March, 17^th, 1964. He is an American actor. He came into  prominence after appearing in films such as The Outsiders, About Last Night…, Wayne’s World, and others. He is currently a main cast member of Parks and Recreation, playing the role of Chris Traeger. He is most known for his role of “Sam Seaborn” in The West Wing, in which he was nominated for many awards.

Sarah Jessica Parker was born on March 25^th, 1965. She is an American film, television, and theater actress, and she is also a producer. She is best known for her leading role of “Carrie Bradshaw” on the HBO television series Sex and the City. She has won four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Emmy Awards for her role as Carrie Bradshaw, and has also starred in two Sex and the City movies based off the television series. Parker has appeared in many other films, as well and is considered a very popular actress of her time.

Actors Birthday in April

Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst were both born in April. Channing Tatum was born on April 26^th, 1980. He is an American actor and film producer. He began his career as a fashion model and appeared in various television commercials for Pepsi and Mountain Dew before turning to film roles. His first leading role was in Step Up (2006), in which he played the role of “Tyler Gage.” He has appeared in many films, 24 to be exact, and has been nominated for many awards. He won a Teen Choice Award for his work in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Kirsten Dunst was born on April 30^th, 1982.  She is an American actress, singer, and model. Dunst appeared in many films as a child, but received international recognition for her role of “Mary Jane Watson” in the Spider-Man trilogy (2002-2007).  She was nominated for many awards for this role and actually won four awards for it, including MTV Movie Awards for Best Female Performance and MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. One of my personal all-time favorite Kirsten Dunst movies is Bring it On. Dunst still remains a popular actress and is going to star in many upcoming films.

Actors Birthday in May

Two babies born in May include George Clooney and Tina Fey. George Clooney was born on May 6^th, 1961. He is an American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is also one of the most critically acclaimed actors in the world. For his work, he has received two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. He gained fame by portraying “Dr. Douglas ‘Doug’ Ross” on the long-running medical drama ER, and has had starring roles in many notable films such as O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Michael Clayton, Syriana, and Up in the Air. He is also a member of the United Nations Messengers of Peace, so he is not only a great actor, but is a great person, as well.

Tina Fey was born on May 18^th, 1970. She is an American actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She is most well known for her work on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, as well as her roles in films such as 2004’s Mean Girls (one of my personal faves!) and 2008’s Baby Mama. Fey has received almost 20 awards for her work in various fields. She has received seven Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Writers Guild of America Awards. I guess you could say she is pretty accomplished and talented. In 2008, she also received the Associated Press’ AP Entertainer of the Year Award for her satirical portrayal of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a guest appearance on SNL. In 2010, Fey was the recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, the youngest-ever winner of the award.

Actors Birthday in June

Morgan Freeman and The Olsen Twins were born in the month of June. Morgan Freeman, who is also the highest-grossing actor of all time, was born on June 1^st, 1937. He is an American actor, film director, aviator, and narrator. Freeman is noted for his reserved demeanor and his authoritative speaking voice. He has received four Academy Award nominations and won one for his role in 2005’s Million Dollar Baby. He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Freeman has starred in many box office hits, including Seven, The Sum of All Fears, and Glory, among many others. Most of his movies, in fact, are blockbuster hits, which makes sense as to why he is the highest-grossing actor of all time.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (known collectively as “The Olsen Twins”), were born on June 13^th, 1986. They are American actresses and entrepreneurs. They have appeared in television and films since infancy and have since continued their celebrity through numerous television programs, films, and commercial endorsements. They got their kick-start in the series Full House, where they shared the role of “Michelle Tanner.” They established their own company called Dualstar in 1993. Following this, they starred in many made-for- television movies and even had a few television series. In 2007, Forbes ranked them as the eleventh-richest women in entertainment with an estimated worth of $100 million. Today, the twins are caught up in their fashion line, The Row, and are trying to establish themselves as separate people, which has already started to occur, to an extent.

Actors Birthday in July

Josh Hartnett and Jennifer Lopez are July babies. Josh Hartnett was born July 21^st, 1978.  He is an American actor and aspiring producer. He first came to audiences’ attention in 1997 as “Michael Fitzgerald” in the television series Cracker. He made his film debut in 1998, co-starring with Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. Hartnett gained fame for his role as “Captain Danny Walker” in Pearl Harbor, what is probably his most notable role to this day. He is currently working on four films, two of which are ‘in development.’

Jennifer Lopez was born July 24^th, 1969. She is an American actress, singer, record producer, dancer, television personality, fashion designer, and television producer. Lopez began her career as a dancer on the television comedy program In Living Color. She then moved on to acting, in which she has starred in many blockbuster hits. Her first leading role was in 1997’s biographical film Selena, in which she earned an ALMA Award for Outstanding Actress. She has also starred in The Wedding Planner and Out of Sight. Besides acting, Jennifer Lopez (known as J.Lo in the music industry), is also a very accomplished recording artist.

Actors Birthday in August

Two celebrities who were born in August are Halle Berry and Ben Affleck. Halle Berry was born on August 14^th,  1966. She is an American actress, former fashion model, and beauty queen. She received an Emmy, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, and NAACP Image Award for Introducing Dorothy Dandridge and won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Monster’s Ball. Berry has appeared in many blockbuster hits, including Gothika, The Flinstones, X-Men, and Catwoman. She was Miss Ohio USA in 1986, and also first runner-up in the 1986 Miss USA pageant.

Ben Affleck was born on August 15^th, 1972.  He is an American actor, film director, writer, and producer.  He won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997), which he co-wrote with Matt Damon and has appeared in lead roles in many popular hits such as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and The Sum of All Fears. He is also an acclaimed filmmaker, as he directed 2007’s Gone Baby Gone and 2010’s The Town, which he also played the leading role. Affleck will soon be starring in an upcoming romantic drama and will be directing his third feature, Argo, for producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov.

Actors Birthday in September

Charlie Sheen and Evan Rachel Wood were born in September. Charlie Sheen was born on September 3^rd, 1965. He is an American film and television actor. More recently, Sheen’s life has been in the headlines due to reports of alcohol and drug abuse, and also marital problems with allegations of domestic violence. He was fired from his role on the hit comedy television series Two and a Half Men on March 7, 2011. Despite his downfall, Sheen is an accomplished actor. He has appeared in popular films such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Rookie, and Hot Shots!, among many others. Even though he might be a tad bit of a nutcase, he is a talented actor and received eight award nominations for his role on Two and a Half Men throughout the years.

Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7^th, 1987. She is an American actress and singer. She became well known after her role of “Tracy” in 2003’s teen drama film Thirteen. She received a Golden Glove nomination for her role in this film. Since Thirteen, Wood has starred in many popular films such as The Wrestler, Running With Scissors, and Pretty Persuasion. She also has a role on the hit television series True Blood.

Actors Birthday in October

Camilla Belle and Ryan Reynolds are two stars that were born in October. Camilla Belle was born on October 2^nd, 1986. She is an American actress. Her works include The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Practical Magic, and When a Stranger Calls. Following a turn as Steven Seagal’s daughter in The Patriot (1998), she earned a 1999 Youth in Film Young Artist Award nomination for her portrayal of Sandra Bullock’s character as a young girl in Practical Magic (another one of my favorite films). Her first lead role was in 2000’s Disney Channel movie, Rip Girls. In 2011, Belle was ranked #5 on People’s “25 Beauties (and Hotties) at 25” list. She is currently in the pre-production stages of three films.

Ryan Reynolds was born October 23^rd, 1976. He is a Canadian film and television actor. He is best known for his roles in such films as National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, The Amityville Horror, and Just Friends. Reynolds was also given People’s Sexiest Man Alive award in 2010, after just appearing on the list in 2008 and 2009. In April 2011, he was ranked #15 on People’s Most Beautiful 2011 list.

Actors Birthday in November

Two celebrities born in the month of November are Owen Wilson and Scarlett Johansson. Owen Wilson was born November 18^th, 1968. He is an American actor and writer. Wilson is most known for his roles in the films The Haunting, Wedding Crashers, and Meet the Parents, just to name a few. He has been nominated for many awards in various roles he has played, and won an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss for his role of “Ken Hutchinson” in Starsky & Hutch. Wilson has also made a lucrative career using his voice as characters, such as “Lightning McQueen” in Cars and “Marmaduke” in Marmaduke. He is currently starring in The Big Year alongside Jack Black and Steve Martin.

Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22^nd, 1984. She is an American actress, model, and singer. She made her film debut in 1994’s North, and was later nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for her performance in Manny & Lo. She transitioned to the adult world with her performances in Girl With a Pearl Earring (2003) and Lost in Translation (2003), for which she won a BAFTA award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Since then, Johansson has been nominated for numerous awards, including four Golden Globe Awards. She is currently filming Under the Skin, to be released some time in 2012.

Actors Birthday in December

Katie Holmes and Jude Law were both born in the month of December. Katie Holmes was born on December 18^th, 1978. She is an American actress who first achieved fame for her role as “Joey Potter” on the WB television drama Dawson’s Creek from 1998 to 2003. She is also known for her roles in Batman Begins, The Ice Storm, and the thriller Abandon. She was also on Broadway in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.  Holmes is also famous for her marriage to actor Tom Cruise. She and Cruise have one daughter together, Suri, born in April 2006.

Jude Law was born on December 29, 1972. He is an English actor, film producer, and director. Some of his most famous films include The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, and Closer.  His films The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain won him many award nominations, including an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for each film, among many others. Law is currently filming Anna Karenina alongside Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.
